Recently we organised for the NHS team building activities that focussed on relationship-building, building a collective team vision, presentations on self care including "Never Give Up Being You," Laughter Yoga for fun and stress release, Reiki Mediation and Rainbow Hand Reflexology (skills to take home and use again).

Well it's Day 30!! Woohoo!! Over the moon with this plan and so grateful for @Amy Johnson introducing me to it. As well as feeling better added bonuses for me is 16lbs weight loss and 4 inches off my waist!!...

I am celebrating completing my first 30 days and Wow!!!
With the incredible support of these beautiful humans, Amy Johnson and Kirsty Pringle, I am embracing this journey but more importantly I am absolutely loving it!!! Everything about it makes me Feel Good!!!! I am loving the self development, the energy, the focus, the changes to my body, my hair, my skin, my mind and soul.
This week didn’t mark the end of 30 days it signified how I’m going to live the rest of my life and I intend to live it surrounded by love, laughter, passion, energy and foods that fuel my precious body.
My hair and skin are starting to shine and glow again!! After one week I'm really starting to have more energy. I actually stayed up past 9.30pm which has been really hard for me during the last 10 months. I feel like I want to exercise which again I've not been able to walk down my lane or up the fields so I know I'm on the right path. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
As each day went by my symptoms got less, no achy muscles, no unhappy tummy, no bloating, and more energy, feeling fitter, skin and nails, improved, and most importantly, feeling happier. Thank you so much!

Well it's Day 30!! Woohoo!! Over the moon with this plan and so grateful for @Amy Johnson introducing me to it. As well as feeling better added bonuses for me is 16lbs weight loss and 4 inches off my waist!!...

Best thing I've ever done for my health...
Today I completed 30 days clean eating programme with the support of Amy from Feel Good Wellbeing after turning to her for help when I was feeling low, dark, negative and having a couldn't care less attitude. Now I'm feeling fitter, positive and stronger. I am a foster carer and so glad I met Amy. Learning to self care is so importance to us all. Thank you Amy!

I first met Amy at her wellness retreat day at the Lion quays. I came from it, feeling uplifted, de-stressed and energised. It left me wanting more and I decided the time is right to start my 30 day journey. I had so many symptoms and before that day, I felt it may be something I would just have to live with! Amy was there every step of the way (and still is!) with all her support, encouragement and positivity. As each day went by my symptoms got less, no achy muscles, no unhappy tummy, no bloating, and more energy, feeling fitter, skin and nails, improved, and most importantly, feeling happier.

AMY's STORY
Amy Johnson is a compassionate human being, committed to enhancing the wellbeing of others
With over 25 years working in social care across the voluntary, charity and local government sector, and after fostering for 8 years in her personal life (and having gone on to adopt a child with complex emotional needs), Amy made some life changing decisions to simplify her life and prioritise self care to combat the compassion fatigue (type of burn out) her and her husband were feeling.
Realising that personal health and wellness is the key to everything in life, she has done exactly that, prioritising wellbeing through nutrition, use of complimentary therapies, mindset work, yoga, meditation and exercise.
Always passionate to help others, and motivational in nature, Amy set up Feel Good Wellbeing Ltd to bring wellness and the importance of self care to the focal point of people's lives.
Prior to social work and fostering, she has a vast range of experiences ranging from volunteering in soup kitchens in the UK and abroad, living and working with Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity Poorest of the Poor in India, working in a care home, to running the London Marathon twice and raising thousands for charities which also saw her volunteering in Nepal, Kenya, Australia and America in her twenties mostly prior to starting her career in social work.

Feeling fairly burnt out (from working in social care management), and having experienced compassion fatigue and trauma absorption (from fostering), Amy's journey is symbolic of someone who has gone on a self care journey realising everything starts with looking after"us", our body, mind and our soul.
Working with complimentary therapists & professional experts Amy is bringing different strategies to improve people's lives to enable them to be the best version of themselves and to feel good!

Director Amy Johnson (BA MA MA) a qualified social worker found one of the biggest challenges in her career was working with young women, teenagers and parents with low self-esteem. Feel Good started as a concept on the beach in Zanzibar in January 2011, when Amy had a vision that there must be a way to bring and share simple ways for people to feel better about themselves in their everyday lives, empowering them to improve their own world. Amy inherently believes that we have the power to change our world, by being the instigator for the change we want to see.
In the summer of 2011, she piloted running a free weekly group for women at her local family centre (where she was and still is a Trustee). The focus of the group was about exploring ways we can feel better about ourselves, in particular sharing life coaching exercises and tips to improve self-esteem. It was clear that women coming together to chat was and is therapeutic for so many.
This pilot lead her to apply successfully for a wellbeing grant from the local health board to run a programme that she designed called the WOnderWoman (WOW) Programme. A 4 day holistic programme improving self esteem and confidence. Women challenged their innate self worth, and self belief empowering them to feel more positive in themselves.

Life took Amy in a different direction becoming a foster carer and returning to work managing prevention services for children and families before moving into project management and commissioning.
Over a period of about seven years life got increasingly tough and self care became the bottom of the priority list. Experiences of compassion fatigue (a form or burn out) took over. There was negativity and toxicity at home and at work. Amy was emotionally eating and generally felt rubbish. Juggling everything to keep the household together, it felt like rat race mentality had taken over every part of her life and there was no time to self care.

Feeling down at times, emotionally eating, and trying to keep the household going as well as juggling everything else, Amy started to feel on the edge and that she simply could not carry on as things were. Something big had to change, or she felt something bad was going to happen. Not wanting to lose her family (that’s how hard it felt), she reached out. She realised that if she looked after herself better, this may positively impact on the rest of the household and of course it has done! Looking inward and seeing what she could change empowered her to become the best version of herself with a stronger mindset.

Looking to do things differently, Amy embarked on a self care journey which started with a nutrition programme she reached out about (to help curb the emotional eating). However, the experience turned out to be so life changing for her holistically. It completely changed how she felt within a very short amount of time!
Amy inherently realised that whatever our situation we all deserve to live our best life, and we all have the opportunity to be the best versions of ourselves, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Feeling totally different, energised and with a new lease of life Amy felt empowered to take a big step into leaving the corporate world behind her and prioritise her self-care and family needs. She was on a new mission to be the best version of herself to ensure she could be the best mum, wife, business partner and daughter she could be.
During her personal development and healing journey Amy explores complimentary therapies and believes these need to be more accessible to the mainstream. Self care is different for everyone, but needs to be an absolute priority to be the best we can be for our loved ones, and to model to the next generation that it is good to care for ourselves!
With extensive experience of training and running events Feel Good Wellbeing Ltd was created to work in partnership with complimentary therapists, and wellbeing professionals to co-produce wellbeing packages to enhance lives promoting self care and awareness of compassion fatigue (a form of burn out). Offering complimentary therapy and holistic health experiences through workshop facilitation and 1:1 makes these wellbeing packages, group programmes and wellness retreats unique.
